LINDYFEST 2012 is MARCH 15-18th

Welcome to Lindyfest 2012, Houston Swing Dance Society's 16th annual Lindy Hop workshop. Lindyfest is an intensive and fun lindy hop weekend workshop jammed packed with classes for all dance levels, soul sessions with living legends, hot performances and four endless nights of dancing. Lindyfest brings in hundreds of dancers from all across the globe to learn lindy hop from the masters and experience the excitement of Lindy Hop, all here in Houston.

• We are pleased to announce our Lindyfest 2012 Instructors: Dawn Hampton, Chazz Young, Steven Mitchell, Virginie Jensen, Sylvia Sykes, Nick Williams, Peter Strom, Naomi Uyama, Syke Humphries, Annie Trudeau, Max Pitruzzella, Kevin St. Laurent and Jo Hoffberg! And more instructors to come!
• New hotel this year! We're moving to the InterContinental Hotel for Lindyfest 2012! Not only are we moving the dances, but we're able to offer all of our classes at this location, too! The InterContinental is located central to two great shopping and eating districts, The Galleria and Uptown Park and the hotel offers a shuttle bus to these nearby locations.
• Gordon Webster Septet with featured vocalistst Steven Mitchell and Naomi Uyama will be the house band for Friday and Saturday evening dances!
• Andrew Thigpen will be MCing the weekend! You definitely don't want to miss a minute of his zaniness!
• DJ Ryan "Swifty" Swift will be head DJ!
• Marie Mattsson from Sweden will be joining us as an instructor for her first Lindyfest!
